Introducing: Lenore's Eyes

12:47:00 AM

Lately I've been stuck on asymmetrical design mode as seen in my Addendum Scarf and Night Sea designs. Well, my latest design is REALLY asymmetrical in both shape and edging.

Behold... Lenore's Eyes.

Lenore's Eyes is a garter stitch scarf and its lace edge is worked into the design. It does not need to be added on in the final step. The eyelets on one edge of the scarf are larger than the ones on the opposite side for a very unique & quirky look.

I named the pattern after the character Lenore in Roman Dirge’s black comedy comic series Lenore, the Cute Little Dead Girl since her eyes are asymmetrical. What can I say? I love spooky cute things. :)

It can be made from any worsted weight yarn. Nearly an entire skein of Malabrigo Rios yarn in the colorway Vaa was used to make the scarf in the photos.

Lenore's Eyes is available on Ravelry here.
