Introducing a New Shawl Pattern: Arise

2:37:00 PM

Summer is soon coming to a close (sorry Summer lovers) and Back to School and even Halloween items (yay!) are in stores already. I'm eagerly awaiting the Fall season but I am slowly learning to tolerate and even enjoy the hot weather.

Soon we'll all be wearing cool weather knits again and shawls and wraps are perfect for making the transition between seasons painless.

The colors I used for the Arise shawl remind me of Autumn, falling leaves and pumpkins. The shawl was knit from two skeins (one skein of each color) of Anzula Squishy yarn (80% Superwash Merino, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon) in the colorways Poppy and Charcoal. The yarn certainly lives up to its name and is indeed very "squishy" and a pleasure to work with. The tonal shades in the yarn are rich, vibrant and make your project really come alive.

Happy knitting and crocheting! :)
