Introducing: Wyvern Scarf

5:13:00 PM

I dove into my yarn stash the other day and found a skein of Elsebeth Lavold's Hempathy yarn in the shade Kiwi. It always seemed to be too small to make anything with so I just never used it. Well, the warmer weather months are upon us and so I decided to make a lacy scarf with it.

The crisp lightweight texture of the yarn is just perfect for lace even though it is a DK weight yarn. The green shade and center lace cable panel all pointed to dragons in my mind, and so the Wyvern Scarf was born. :)

All you need is about 150 yards of DK weight yarn or just one skein of Hempathy. The length of the scarf is completely adjustable and you can make it as short or long as you wish. It would also be fun to experiment with different yarn weights to see what you come up with.

The Wyvern Scarf pattern is available on Ravelry here or you can just use this handy button to purchase it:
