Introducing: Shrubbery, A Leafy Shawlette

1:53:00 PM

Ok, I had a lot of fun designing this shawl, but then again I really love what I do and have fun plotting and knitting all my designs. :)

For one, this shawl is made from tweedalicious (if it's not a word, I'm coining it now) Brooklyn Tweed Loft yarn in the color Tent. The color goes perfect with the shawl's leafy fern-like design and the yarn even though it's wool, is incredibly lightweight and soft.

Secondly, I'm a huge Monty Python fan and love British humor in general so was thrilled to give this design a Monty Python reference:

“First you must find… another shrubbery! Then, when you have found the shrubbery, you must place it here, beside this shrubbery, only slightly higher so you get a two layer effect with a little path running down the middle. (“A path! A path!”) Then, you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forrest… with… a herring!”

The pattern is available for download here.
