A Pattern Revamped: Downtown Shawlette

8:14:00 PM

The Downtown Shawlette pattern was one of the first knitting patterns I ever wrote and published. I have definitely come a long way since then. Now, about a year later I am taking a second glance at my designs and are reworking the patterns I'm least satisfied with. The Downtown Shawlette was one that got a complete makeover. It's now easier to knit and has a more striking to the point design. *pun intended* Also, I feel that the current yarn choice really enhances it now. This pattern definitely shines in hand dyed or handpainted yarns such as the Madelinetosh DK in Graphite I used here.

The pattern is a pretty straightforward one with loads of garter stitch which serve to highlight the raised rib or brioche stripe down the center. It's a breeze to knit and wear. Hope you enjoy it!

Which design will I be reworking next? Stay tuned...
