Summer Project Number 1

9:00:00 PM

I recently found out that there is a yarn mill literally in my own backyard in Philadelphia. How awesome! They are Made in America Yarns. I just had the pleasure of working with their extremely soft and richly textured Florafil Baby Soft Bulky Cotton Yarn and got a chance to design a baby blanket (knit) and hat (crochet) for them. Both patterns will be available soon through their Ravelry page (and linked to mine as well) in addition to their website.

The blanket and hat will also have the pleasure of travelling to the TNNA trade show in Columbus, Ohio in a few days. I wish I was going along as well but there's always next year. I'm planning on it and planning well in advance this time. Keep an eye out for the blanket and if you happen to see it and Made in America's booth take pictures of them for me, pretty please?

Well, I must say after this project I've certainly gotten my designing bug back. I'm also currently working on a project for another yarn company, but more about that in another post soon to come.

To everyone attending the TNNA trade show this Summer, have a safe and phenomenal time! Go fiber arts!
